'Passion' of the Easter Bunny?

News of the very strange and disturbing. I have no idea what the point was (it must go over my head), but a church in Glassport, PA put on a show where actors whipped an Easter Bunny along with breaking eggs to demonstrate the crucifixion of Christ. What?

That's not all:

Performers broke eggs meant for an Easter egg hunt and also portrayed a drunken man and a self-mutilating woman, said Jennifer Norelli-Burke, another parent who saw the show in Glassport, a community about 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

"It was very disturbing," Norelli-Burke said. "I could not believe what I saw. It wasn't anything I was expecting."

Yes...disturbing indeed.

Read the story here.

This is easy: Like Scooby Doo, the Easter Bunny is marketed for kids and must be stopped. Bud Lite, on the other hand, isn't and musn't, especially at Super Bowl time.
Now if the Easter Bunny was owned by a large corporation...

I love it. No matter what happens TTL turns it into an anti-Bush anti-business rant.
What a strange mind set you have sir.

You call what I wrote "anti-w," but I'm the one with the strange mind set? You're truly paranoid, and should seek help immediately.

This one was anti-business. Everything else can be categorized as anti-W. :)

I have a lot of respect for people with strong religious beliefs, but this group is way out there.
The ones that drive me nuts are the anti-Halloween fringe. With all the things hurting the family and society today they waste so much passion on the least important things.

They were talking about that on the radio here yesterday. It's pretty sick... people had their little kids there with them.

No, it wasn't "anti-binniss," it was "anti-hypocrisy." Super moralists only go after things that aren't related to corporations, like Bud Lite race cars, or Bud Lite itself. Or corporate pirates who steal zillions from their employees and investors. Where is the outrage over LeBatt Blue commercials that teach us that their beer makes lovely young women want to have sex with bears? Nowhere because it sponsors sports, and is therefore MUCH less dangerous to our culture than the Easter Bunny. So again, not anti-binniss, ANTI-HYPOCRISY.
