Birthday Prize & More Big Brother
Ah...corporations that I sometimes do business with really do care when it comes to their customers. My birthday is a week away, and I'm already getting cards from them:
That's right...nothing says "Happy Birthday" like people throwing peanuts at you...in 3-D!
In other news, I'm cooking up a plan to counter the planned police surveillance cameras when and if they go up (in a discreet sort of way, of course). I think that they should be properly labeled and pointed out for passing pedestrians. That's about all I can say for now...at least until I provide pictures whenever this undercover action takes place (after the cameras go up, of course). Stay tuned.
By the way...am I just completely going overboard with this camera thing? The nonchalant attitude of those in positions of power along with the "I'm not doing anything wrong, so why should I worry" attitude is quite disturbing.
Overall, I have really witnessed two reactions to this issue...1) indifference or 2) being completely against it and disturbed by it. I really haven't seen that many people (with whom I have actually spoken with or communicated with) that seem to be on fire for this idea. Perhaps that in itself says something...? You're either against it, or you don't care. Unfortunately, most of society sits in the latter category these days. It will be our undoing.

"Overboard?" As Mr. Spock would say, "There are two possibilities:"
1. Yes. For someone with no intention to commit a crime, being watched by a camera is the same as being watched by a cop standing around.
2. Yes. These cameras are not Big Brother. The federal gubmnt, which right-wingers have feared for decades, IS finally Big Brother. You guys voted for King Goerge, so deal with it. Don't blame me; I held my nose and voted for Kerry.
So will Big Brother come to the Wage Peace rally Saturday, at noon, in front of Centennial Park and break heads for fiberty? Or will local cops do it for them?
It's been 35 years since Kent State. Can cops read the Constitution yet? Watch Saturday's 6:00 news to find out.

And speaking of birthdays, this Saturday is the Tar Baby's second, which is why the Wage Peace rally is on that day. Anybody who found any WMDs in Iraq or evidence linking Saddam to 9/11 should, you know, bring them to the party. And a credit card so you can post bail.

The fact they are not effective and they keep putting them up shows it is for more then crime control.
The cameras will go up because the government has lost touch with the people long ago.

Kat,
When you see a name underlined at the end of one of these posts, it's a hot link. Click on it for more information about the topic. Notice mine is underlined, yours is not.
The "Think Peace" rally is today (Sat), noon, in front of Centennial Park.
Remember three things: Cops=good, soldiers=good, King Goerge=bad, very bad (lying fascist warmonger). Protest only King Goerge and the war, not cops or soldiers.
