John Jay Hooker Blog
He started it sooner than I expected. John Jay Hooker (TMTMTL) has started a blog...and it's shaping up to be pretty good.

Until he gets rid of that annoying firefox pop up crap, I won't be back.

I'm not getting any pop ups.

Do you use firefox?

Yes...but I also tried going there with IE, but still didn't get anything. Ah well...I agree though that pop ups suck.

I use IE and get the thing. It's annoying.

And I get it only when I click an external link.

Did you notice that on JJH blogroll he lists Bill Hobbs next to Phil Bredesen? I thought that was intesting.
Hooker is one of the great orators of all time. I watched him perform in the courthouse when running for governor. He also has some great photos of Muhammad Ali (who gave him a shoutout after the Thiller in Manilla) and photos of Robert Kennedy and himself. (He worked with Kennedy) His history is extraordinary, and I hope he posts about it.
He threatened to sue me when I was with MSNBC and wrote a story about his bid for Governor he didn't like. My story was actually very "pro" Hooker, so much so that I added another writer to the story because I was afraid of being biased. Hooker missed that finer point. Still, I look forward to his blog and hope he writes about his remarkable struggle in the civil rights movement.
Someone should make a movie about this man. (Some say Warren Betty based "Bullworth" on John Jay Hooker)
Oh...to the person who mentioned pop-ups, I'm not getting any over there. I'm on AOL--don't know if that makes a difference.
Best,Sharon
