Chris Matthews - Hardball

Looks like I was able to get a VIP stage-seating for this thing tonight. Keep an eye out for me (somewhere in the background) if you watch it.

Some of those yo-yos on the stage hurt their cause more than they help it. The suit and haircut that said he only favors abortion in cases of the mother's life. That's what sinks legitimate people. "Oh, you were raped so I'm going to force you to have a rape baby but you can give it up for adoption." That's torture.

And then on religion in public life - I'm an atheist, little "L" libertarian and I can't stress the importance of pointing out that our rights do not come from government. The Founding Fathers made sure to point out that our rights come from a Creator. For what the government can give you, it can surely take away. Our rights are not for the government to give or decide what we are allowed to have.
