Another Indictment?

Brittney is saying that there is an unsubstantiated report that the FBI will be handing another indictment to a "well-known" Tennessee Democrat later today.

Watching and waiting.

Update: Now taking bets on which part of the state this person may be from. Odds go up the further west you go.

Update II: Brittney is now saying that the rumour may not be true.

In other news, Pete Rose Junior was arrested today on drug charges.

Oh, so many choices...

I think the news is the Pete Rose Jr story.

Without seeing the name, Brittney apparently heard that there was an indictment coming down on a junior member of a family with a history of troubles with women, taxes, and the law, and she naturally assumed that the person being charged was a Ford.

Nice try, but no. I actually heard the word "Democrat." That wasn't inferred on my part. But you could be right about the indictment being for Pete Rose, Jr. and no one else. Still waiting to hear back from the reporter sent out on the "story."

Blake, I posted about you over at my blog.

Can't you predict ANYTHING?

Posted by: David Bander at November 8, 2005 11:32 AM

I wouldn't have known you ever linked to me because I don't get any hits from your site at all.

Secondly...being the mature person you are (strike that), you would have probably realized that I was linking to someone else here. Do you know anything about how blogs work? Someone writes something, and I can link to it, and I say..."this person is saying this." That doesn't necessarily mean it's a "prediction" of my own.

As far as the previous thing about the Ford campaign, one person within the campaign did say they were going to release a statement, but according to Jim Hester (I know you'll know that name) they are not due to the fact that they wouldn't release a statement about something that isn't true.

The first campaign person apparently wasn't informed enough, made an assumption, or the campaign changed its mind (wisely) about releasing a statment over a rumour (which...again...I stated was an unconfirmed rumour in the first place).

Now...if you don't mind, those of us who are a little more mature will continue on as we were.

Maybe you (and Jackson) are good examples of why Ford voted to stab you in the back with his vote against the Online Freedom of Speech amendment. Your lack of maturity may be reflecting too much on his campaign.

I knew you'd try to weasel out of this. If you repost an irresponsible rumor on your blog, then you yourself are irresponsible. Have a little integrity, for once.

Don't feel bad about the Ford / MSNBC thing. I've been hearing it here in Memphis, too.

Another variation, one you might ask Hester about, is that Ford is going to FOX. If Hester specifically denied MSNBC that would leave accepting a competitor's offer open (in the world of lawyers, anyway).

Hahahah! If I had posted it as fact, that would be a different ballgame all together, and you might actually have a valid point, but you don't.

Better luck next time. :)

He never purported it to be anything BUT a rumor. Get a grip, people.
