Beth Harwell Not Running
I just heard from a reliable source that Beth Harwell has decided not to run for Governor.
That means that as of right now there are no GOP candidates to go up against Bredesen.

This is sad news. Representative Harwell would have made an excellent candidate against Governor Phillip. I understand the personal sacrifice that she would have had to make, and I appreciate her efforts to consider the options for the good of the state. She would have had to leave the representation of her district and risk her political capital to run for governor, in addition the time away from family and personal commitments for the remainder of 2006.

I knew this long ago, which is why I found all that Bob Tuke nonsense highly hilarious.

I have heard that there is a man in Bradley county, a credible marriage and family therapist, who is considering a run. Have you heard this?
