They can have him.

I was horrified to hear Gill credited tonight by the 10:00 anchor as "News 2's political analyst". Did someone with hiring authority at channel 2 lose a bar bet?

Puh-leeze. "News 2's bloviating unctuous shrike", maybe, but "political analyst"? Sure, just as soon as Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh share a Pulitzer prize.

WKRN's been dropping their local news standards lower and lower ("video journalists"? from the ads, apparently it's news if someone goes down the sidewalk on a skateboard), and hiring Steve Gill for anything, let alone "political analyst", nailed it shut for me.

WKRN, be sure to let us know if you ever get back into the business of local news that's meant to be taken seriously. Maybe you could take out some ads on WSMV and WTVF, because that's where I'll be at local news time.

I would like to hear Steve bring to light the fact that Bredeson is giving state employees a bonus in October, which will be paid by using our surplus taxes! I am diffinitely against this as I feel we should each get a bonus, since this is our money to begin with. This is not the first time Bredeson has given these bonuses to state employees. Please check this out and let the people of Tennesee know that this is happening with our tax dollars. Thanks very much.

Not to mention that October comes right before November. Something is going on that month...I can't remember...what it is...

Oh yeah...election time.
