Random Observation for the Day

I'm driving this morning and I'm listening to the radio...talk radio if you must know...Glenn Beck if you're really nosey. Anyway...the radio. All of a sudden, there's a breaking news flash. *Dah dah daaaah* A Fox News Breaking News Alert!

My first thought: a disaster of some type. At the very least, something that would affect us all. Why else would they break into the *middle* of an ongoing show to bring us this important alert?

A few seconds later my blood pressure rises from the fact that they had a breaking news alert in the middle of a show to tell me that Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys had apparently attempted suicide!

Now come on. Being interested in NFL football, sure. I am interested. However, don't break into the middle of a program with a "breaking news alert" to tell me and everyone else this news! How can I take "breaking news alerts" seriously now? Breaking news alerts are for real breaking news events. Not this crap!

Ok...that's today's random observation. Tomorrow is Amanda Congdon day in Nashville. I must prepare.

In the meantime, I point you to these: Video 1; Video 2

Dude, I almost choked on my Sun Drop last night when the news was on! You, sir, are a Superstar!!

"Breaking News: T.O. tries to commit suicide."

Blake, that's a good example of the continual drivel to the masses..like the endless reporting by cable news outlets on Natalie Holloway or Scott Peterson (similar to others all over the nation) while the subversion of our Republic with the deliberate ongoing invasion of our nation and the behind the scenes "executive agreement" subversion of our Republic into a North American Union is unreported by the mainstream media.

Another observation about breaking news drivel:
Many times those "breaking news" items are re: young attractive women being abducted, missing and usually murdered. But the same media people would NEVER report these incidents if these victims successfully defended themselves against criminal predators by with a firearm. No, most all of them are anti-choice when it comes to armed self-defense and that is the pervasive propaganda. But they are quite ready to use the demise of unarmed victims to keep the viewer ratings up and otherwise keep the peasants occupied and obfuscated from what officialdom is doing.

I totally agree with you. Many hundreds of Americans try to commit suicide every single day in the US. T.O. is just a professinal football player. He only contributes entertainment to us, and only by way of football. Surely his suicide attempt is NOT a good reason to break into a regularly scheduled programing. Also, I just cannot sleep at night until I know for SURE who the father of Anna Nicole Smith's child is. Yea, right...ZZZZZZ

It's really sad that the press (and many others) put so much emphasis on these guys. I was in Boston and saw a dozen press cameras bunched around a hospital entrance. A School bus crash? An epidemic at a cafeteria? No, a baseball player with a heart arrythmia. PLEEEASE!

And if T.O. evey feels his life is just too hard, don't send him to a hi-dollar shrink. I'll take his by the scruff of the neck and drag him off to some orphanages in Uganda to dig sewer pipe and rebuild pigpens like I did last year. You see those kids, you realize something; we have very few REAL problems in this country.
