Peking to Paris
Through one of my contacts on Flickr, I came across this Flickr page which caught my eye almost immediately (for obvious reasons)....
Those pictures then led me to another site promoting the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge.
From May 27th to June 30th, a group of drivers will be following the path of the original Peking to Paris racers. These just aren't regular motor cars they are driving either. They are all vintage automobiles...from a 1907 Model T to a 1955 Series 1 Land Rover to 20's Bentleys galore.
This race celebrates the 100th anniversary of the original Peking to Paris race which took place in 1907 under quite different circumstances (see the wikipedia article).
For a vintage car enthusiast (especially of the British type), this looks like quite an interesting journey to follow.
