I just wanted to post that. He will announce in Nashville over the 4th of July holiday…which sucks for me as I’ll be out of town.
Update: Conflicting reports on when he will announce. Either way…it looks like it’s going to happen at some point.

The Tennessean newspaper here in Nashville has gone off and done a not-so-smart thing. They’ve published an online database that gives anyone the easy ability to search for handgun carry permit holders across the entire state of Tennessee.

Bravo to the Tennessean. They should have done some research and put some thought into it *before* putting it online, but I’m glad they did the right thing in the end.

Gun Bill Passes

After a lot of discussion early in the year, the bill that would prevent the state of Tennessee from seizing firearms from law abiding citizens during a declared state of emergency passed in the House on Monday night.
