Fashion foretold the imminent sunset era “Boots” - low shapeless ugg boots, who prays for all young people, living their last days of his popularity. We fans of the Australian model of a different opinion on this matter.

It all began as far back as last season, when Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on stage in front of camera lenses in a shapeless, slightly grubby boots, which are so conveniently tucked jeans and trousers. Glory to the new “Boots” (Ugg - the name of fashion shoes, boots and other shoes of tanned sheepskin, with the inside-out seams, firm ugg boots) spread throughout the world.

As the undisputed pluses these boots were placed warmth, comfort, ease of wear.
As a negative - slovenly appearance and even deformity (a reason many have hinted at the similarity of name brands with the English ugli - “ugly”).This popular ugg boots are available in boots show room and in online store in the title ugg or ugg boots sale.

Devotees boots-scouring resulted in the example of Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson, who also did not hide his admiration for the model. Approving the statement of the famous televumen Oprah Winfrey on Ugg boots only added fuel to the fire - sales increased at times.

However, the experts that predict lifespan on the shelves for products such as handbags Fendi (already “unfashionable”) or jeans Earl ( “do not fashionable”), proclaimed admirers Ugg boots are typical victims, runs on about a fleeting fashion, even before as boots appeared in stores. Thus they so quickly become “unfashionable”, which is again in vogue. Overcome it again Ugg level fad to gain a foothold as always fashionable accessory like Hermes scarves or shoes Gucci, - is anyone’s guess.
History Ugg

According to the official website www.uggaustralia.com, Australians from time immemorial sew boots from sheep skins. In 1978, Smith brought a certain number of hand-made pairs in California, where he loved to surf. During the first year in the U.S., he sold 48 pairs. Then problems began. The combination of low supply and huge demand quickly turned them into an object of desire. In 1995, the American corporation Deckers bought the rights from Smith and gave the company trade name Ugg. What, in turn, has caused resentment among the Australian footwear manufacturers, who claimed the name widely used for 50 years and is a synonym name, such as “cowboy boots”. After three years of legal strife Australian shoemakers were, finally, the right to use the word ugg, not asking for the permission of Deckers.

1. Introduction

So, you are interested in rc trucks (radio controlled) models of cars. Whether it is a model with an internal combustion engine (ICE) or a model with an electric motor, this article will help you determine what you prefer, to understand some general principles of model and radio control and buy everything needed for further operation.

2. Types of the car

Radio-controlled model cars can be classified as follows:
Scale (size): 1:12, 1:10, 1:8
The type of engine: internal combustion engine (or nitro) (internal combustion engine) or the Electricity (electric)
Type chassis: road racing, Formula 1, buggies, trucks, monster truck (or monsters)
Consider everything in order:
Scope
Scale model is denoted as eg 1:10 (or 1 / 10) .The most common scale - 1:10 and 1:8. Scale 1:12 is quite rare. Gaining popularity scale 1:18 (very popular among ordinary bench models of cars), there are new models as road vehicles, and monsters.
There is still scope 1:24 and 1:28, which makes a series of Mini-Z Japanese firm Kyosho, but the extent of the approximate; they indicate the average for the series.
And, finally, other extreme - the scale of 1:5 - this is a huge machine (about a meter in length) with gasoline engines.
DIC (left) and the electric motor .Drawing not to! Typically, the electric motor is much smaller engine.
Engine Type
Engines on the models used are as follows: The internal combustion engine (ICE, also uses the term nitro) and electric motors.
DIC (left picture) are working on a mixture of methanol, nitro methane and oil. This fuel is sold in cans in model shops. It is better to use high-quality branded fuel to the engine worked well and served for a long time. Engines are divided into classes according to their working volume:
Grade 12 (2.11 cu. Sm) - road racing model scale 1:10
15 th grade (2.5 cu. Cm) - road racing model 1:10, buggies, trucks, monsters 1:10
18 th grade (3.0 cubic cm) - buggies, trucks, monsters 1:10
21-grades (3.5 cu. Cm) - highways 1:8, buggies and monster 1:8
25 th grade (4.1 cu. Sm) - buggies and Monster 1:8

Name class went from American classification of volume in cubic inches. For example, the 15-th grade means that the engine capacity is 0.15 cu. inches. When calculated in cubic centimeters obtained: 0.15 * 2.543 = 2.458 cu. cm, ie approximately 2.5.

The higher the class ,the greater engine capacity, the higher the power. For example: the engine power of 15-th class is approximately 0.6 hp to 1.2 hp Engine 25-Class is already developing 2.5 hp and more.

Electric motors (on the right) usually operate on batteries 7.2 V or higher. Batteries are welded together from the elements by 1.2 V. Sell and individual elements for the spikes and ready-made batteries.
Electric motors are classified according to the length of wire wound inside (the number of revolutions) - 10 turns, 11 turns, 16 turns, 24 turns and so The smaller the number of turns to fast engine.

Chassis type

Chassis - the basis of the model. It fixed all the important elements - the engine, electronics, etc. Different types of gear serve different purposes and are developed based on the application.

Formula-1 - designed for the development of high speeds and racing on an absolutely flat surface. Drive - rear-wheel (2WD), although there are models with four-wheel drive (4WD).
Buggies - for racing off-road (sand, clay, gravel, dirt), can jump from a springboard. Drive - Full (4WD) or rear (2WD).
Truckee - similar in construction to the buggy, but have greater ground clearance and bigger wheels. Drive - Full (4WD) or rear (2WD).
Monsters - have huge wheels and can overcome any obstacles and ride on any surface. Large suspension travel allows you to jump from high jumps and fabricate anything. Drive - Full (4WD) or rear (2WD).
Racing models - capable of driving on a flat surface and have a high speed and good handling. Drive - Full (4WD), less rear (2WD).

3. ICE (internal combustion engine) against Electro. Comparison
Before you make a choice, you need to weigh all a and against the type of engine. Proper understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of models with an electric motor and internal combustion engines will rationally spend money and avoid problems and disappointments. So:

Models with ICE
Many models of ICE faster models with electric motor and can exceed the speed of 70-80 km / h. Be that as it may; the impact on the speed of 70 km / h in the curb or a wall could destroy the model completely, or cause costly repairs.
Engines for the car-single-cylinder two-stroke engines, which means that they need fuel (not gasoline and special fuels) .This means that you have to regularly buy fuel to the model (approximate price of 4 liters of good fuel - 45 $, though can is sufficient enough for a long time) . Plus models with engines that you can ride it as long as they wished - the main refueling tank .Typically, models with internal combustion engines are more expensive models with the electric motor (due to the higher cost of the engine).Among the major
pluses of models with internal combustion engines - a realistic sound.

Models with electric
The main disadvantage of analogue computers - quickly sits battery. You are unlikely to ride continuously for more than 15 minutes on one charge. But except for a small-time ride and slightly lower maximum speed throughout the rest of the model with the electric motor are better. The main advantage of models with
the electric motor is their silence, environmentally friendly and much better acceleration compared with models with internal combustion engines.

In any case, you will have to purchase some equipment to the model - the batteries and charger. Rechargeable batteries cost between $ 15 and vary thecapacity and impact of current. Better battery, the higher the price, and itincreases nonlinearly. Chargers are either from 12V (powered from the cigarette
lighter, or normal car battery), or from 220V (network). There are chargers that can operate on 12 and from 220V.

4. rc trucks hardware

No matter what type of gear and what scale you choose, you will need a system of radio control model. Many companies make models of their models in the form of RTR (Ready To Run) - ready to use straight out of the box - they are usually already assembled and includes everything you need, including a control panel.
However, some models still sold as a kit for assembly and control equipment will have to buy extra. Consider the principle of governance model.
The system of radio control model car with an electric motor:
1. When the racer pulls the trigger or turns the steering wheel on the remote control signal is sent to the receiver model.
2. The receiver receives the signal, processes it and sends a signal to the appropriate device model.
3. If a racer turns the steering wheel, then the receiver sends a signal Servo (also called servos), forcing it to turn in the right direction. Through the system of rods that turn the servo leads turn the wheels of the model.
4. If the racer pulls the trigger, the receiver sends a signal regulator (speed).
5. Speed controller (still referred to as speed control, Speed controller) changes speed electric motor and, consequently, the velocity model (the engine is connected to the wheels of a system of belts and / or cardanic).
6. The battery used to power the motor, Servo, 1 receiver and speed controller. If the model is an electronic speed regulator, the battery is connected to it, but the regulator distributes power to the motor, receiver and servo.
The system of radio control model car with a combustion engine:
1. When the racer pulls the trigger or turns the steering wheel on the remote control signal is sent to the receiver model.
2. The receiver receives the signal, processes it and sends a signal to the appropriate device model.
3. If a racer turns the steering wheel, then the receiver sends a signal Servo 1, causing it to turn in the right direction. Through the system of rods that turn the servo leads turn the wheels of the model.
4. If the racer pulls the trigger, the receiver sends a signal to Servo 2.
5. Servo 2 moves the valve carburetor, which alters the flow of the mixture of fuel and air and, consequently, the engine speed and the speed of the model.
6. The battery used to power the receiver 1 and Servo Servo 2.

The above elements constitute a complete list of radio model. All these elements are necessary for the management model. Regulators speed are usually sold separately, and the remote control, receiver and servos are sold either separately or all in one set.

5. Batteries

If you decide to buy a model with an electric motor, you will need batteries. In the car models are commonly used battery 7.2V, which fused elements from 6 to 1.2V. There are currently two common types of batteries - Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel-metal hydride (NiMH). Each type has its advantages and disadvantages, but the NiMH can get a larger battery capacity and almost did not have «memory
effect».
How different batteries:
Batteries have many options - internal resistance, the average voltage, discharge current, etc. The exact values of these parameters are given for expensive batteries for a serious sport for hobby and amateur races they can not focus attention and to buy batteries more affordable. The most important parameters - type of battery (NiCd or NiMH) and its capacity (measured in mAh, example 2400 mAh), it is listed on batteries large numbers. The higher the capacity, the longer you can ride on the model. Price, however, also increases…

How many batteries to buy?
For a start it is good to buy a 2.3 battery, which will ride with the replacement batteries for quite some time. As for containers - it is better not to buy batteries with capacity less than 1500mAh, and the time away will be quite small.

6. Fuel

Internal combustion engines for models can not be run on ordinary gasoline. They require a special fuel based on methanol and with addition of different amounts of nitromethane and oil. Nitro methane manage performance of the engine, its content in fuel for the car is usually from 16 to 25%. Oil in the fuel
contributes to lubrication of the engine and protects it from damage. On canisters of fuel usually indicate the content of nitromethane and the type of models, which applies a fuel.
7. Body Models

Body for car models are made of special plastic - polycarbonate (Lexan) .Body fairly light and flexible, so as not to break upon impact. Models can be sold as a body, and without .But you can always buy a separate body - the benefit is available a great variety of bodies that replicate the huge amount of real cars. Body sold already dyed or undid form (transparent) .Transparent body paint inside a special paint for polycarbonate, which can be found in any store for modelers.
Bodies different manufacturers may vary in the degree of detail and strength:
some body well developed, just copy the original, but quite fragile. Other bodies contain less detailing, but more flexible and resistant to shocks. If you are - beginner, try to choose a more flexible body, because accidents are inevitable at the beginning and happen more often than it seems at first glance.

8. The list of needed items

And, finally, a full list of what you should buy a model for its full operation, launch and maintenance.

For models with electric motor:
Chassis (with motor)
Radio Control (kit should contain 1 remote, 1 receiver, 1 servo)
Speed controller (depending on engine model, consult with the seller)
Batteries (buy at least 2 batteries, capacity not less than 1500mAh)
Charger
Body (if included with the chassis it was not)
Paint for the body (better to buy 2 cans)
For models with internal combustion engines:
Chassis (engine)
Radio Control (kit should contain 1 remote, 1 receiver and 2 servo)
Batteries
Body (if included with the chassis it was not)
Paint for the body (better to buy 2 cans)
Fuel
Bottle for filling fuel in the tank model
Device for glow plugs (in English called glow star

Mediterranean Food have in common a high consumption of bread, fruit, vegetables, herbs, cereals, olive oil, fish and wine (in moderate quantities) and are based on a paradox (at least to the point of view of traditional nutritionists) The people living in Mediterranean countries consume relatively large amounts of fat but, nevertheless, have lower rates of cardiovascular disease than the U.S. population, in whose power are similar levels of animal fat. The explanation is that large quantities of olive oil used in Mediterranean cuisine, at least partly offset the fat animals.

The olive oil seemed to lower the levels of cholesterol in the blood, it is thought that the consumption of red wine is another protective factor, with its contribution of bioflavonoids with powerful effects antioxidants. According to the study performed by LYON ‘American Heart Association (AHA), the Mediterranean diet decreases the mortality rate of coronary disease by 50%.

Generally, the Mediterranean diet tends to recommend the consumption of fish larger than that of meat. On the other hand, this line coincides with that of Japanese cuisine, and the effects on the population are under the eyes of all: the Japanese are famous for their longevity confirmed.

The fish is on the other hand could not be excluded from the tables Mediterranean, because of the presence of the marine environment that has shaped and determined the history of countries bordering the Mediterranean. Enjoys mostly good amount of protein, essential fatty acids and some minerals.

As for the meat, it tends to prefer the white one (chicken, turkey, rabbit) in the red. Rich in protein, vitamins and minerals, the component lipid (fat) is very much from provenance and even the side of the animal.

La Jolla award winning restaurant offers a large verities of Italian food.

Nashville is a safe tourist destination, but we must still take some precautions. Petty crime, like pickpocketing, and are most often held in the crowds. Therefore always have an eye on your business and take the necessary strict with you when you leave.

If you rent a car, lock the doors and many do not leave anything in view of the whole world when you leave the parking lot. Storms are frequent, especially during the rainy season, making driving more difficult. Stay informed by the weather.

Currency:

If you smoke, do it in your corner because it is frowned on smoking in public. Make sure you are smoking in a place as more and more places ban smoking.

Religion is important in Tennessee. There are 82% Christian, 39% of Baptists among them. Be respectful of their beliefs.

Health:

There is no health risk to Nashville. Tap water is fit for consumption and the risk of food poisoning in restaurants are small.

The city has very good medical infrastructure, but it is advisable to have good insurance because the costs of treatment are very high.

Nashville Baptist Hospital: +1 615 329 5555

Emergencies: 911

Language:

English is the official language.

Visas:

Nationals of European Union countries must complete a visa application form at least 72 hours before their visit to the United States. Europeans colonized the area for the first time in 1779, calling it Fort Nashborough (the Anglo-Saxon name was Americanization five years later).

The legendary Daniel Boone had the lot and his Wilderness Road (forest road) brought immigrants here from the Appalachians from Virginia, from North Carolina and South and the states of north-east. Nashville quickly grew as a center of trade and manufacturing, and since 1806 had a status and was named the state capital in 1843. Its strategic location on the banks of the Cumberland River (which connects to the system of navigation of the Mississippi river) and at the intersection of major rail lines made the city a strategic point during the civil war. While the federal troops along the river, the seat of government was moved to Memphis and in less than a week Nashville surrendered.

Another legendary city, Andrew Jackson (who was then Senator), was appointed military governor, allowed the occupation by the loyalists of Nashville, and impose a martial law from 1862 to 1865, a measure that allowed to remain intact. The Confederation sought to reappropriate the city to stop the rail link that supplied the troops of General William Tecumseh Sherman Unionist during the campaign against Atlanta, and the two armies clashed in 1864, the Battle of Nashville south of the city.

The confederate troops under General Thomas Hood was destroyed. The economic recovery after the civil war was hampered by two major epidemics of cholera that killed about a thousand people and forced thousands to flee. The Centennial Exposition of 1897, which was set up the reconstruction of the Parthenon greek still visible today, was the sign of the rebirth of the city. The Maxwell family began here at the renowned firm of Maxwell House Coffee. Teddy Roosevelt himself declared that the coffee served at the Maxwell House Hotel was “good to the last drop.” The estate of Maxwell is now an art gallery and a collection of botanical gardens open to the public. But in the end, Nashville was known for the enormous popularity of his Barn Dance, broadcast live on radio from 1925. T

he city was quickly proclaimed World Capital of Country Music, and along the Music Row, west of the center, became recording studios and companies. In the Sixties students of Fisk University for just blacks indissero manifestations of sit-ins at restaurants Center, encouraged the economic boycott and marched on City Hall to demand the end of segregation. Their non-violent protest was a model and catalyst for the entire civil rights movement in the South in the seventies Entrerprises Gaylord founded the empire of Oprylandia and gave shape to the tourism-based country music with the transfer of the Grand Ole Opry, the renovation of the Ryman Auditorium, the establishment of a ferry service and the overall economic regeneration of the banks of the river towns.

The main economic resources of the city, in addition to the entertainment and tourism, which alone holds more than two million dollars a year, are the medical industry and the automotive industry, represented by the Nissan.

There are preparations you can make before you arrive at the airport to help you move more quickly and efficiently through the new security processes. Here you will find suggestions on what to wear to the airport .

Dress the Part
Be aware that any metal detected at the checkpoint must be identified. If you set off the alarm, you will be required to undergo a secondary screening, including a hand-wanding and a pat-down inspection.

You can remove metal items at the security checkpoint and place them in the bins provided. The bins will be sent through the X-ray machine. You can save time, however, by not wearing metal items or by placing such items in your carry-on baggage before you get in line.

TIP: Avoid wearing clothing, jewelry, or other accessories that contain metal when traveling.
· Jewelry (pins, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, earrings, body piercings, cuff links, lanyard or bolo tie)
· Shoes with steel tips, heels, shanks, buckles or nails
· Clothing with metal buttons, snaps or studs
· Metal hair barrettes or other hair decoration
· Belt buckles
· Under-wire brassieres

Hidden items such as body piercings may result in a pat-down inspection. You may ask to remove your body piercing in private as an alternative to the pat-down search.

TIP: Avoid placing metal items in your pockets.
· Keys, loose change, lighters
· Mobile phones, pagers, and personal data assistants (PDAs)

TIP: Instead, place jewelry and other metal items in your carry-on baggage until you clear security.

TIP: Pack your outer coat or jacket in your baggage when possible.
Outer coats including trench coats, ski jackets, leather jackets, overcoats and parkas must go through the X-ray machine for inspection. If you choose to wear an outer coat to the checkpoint, you will need to either place it in your carry-on or put it in the bin that is provided for you. You will not need to remove suit jackets or blazers unless requested by the screener.

How do airlines lose your luggage? So far, fortunately, I have never lost irretrievably. But many times it has happened that the conveyor will stop without my suitcase (or that of my wife).

The first time was the fault of the airline (Air Canada). I had been on the waiting list two hours and I had found a place only at the last minute. My suitcase was on the ground and put us one day and one night to get there, changing more than one plane.

The next time, the small airline Pacific Sun, the Fiji Islands, had been deliberately left on the ground, together with those of all other passengers. When we arrived at the small airport in Savusavu, none of us had a suitcase because the plane was too overloaded. Even then it took a whole day because we reached the luggage. Given that the airline knew that it would “lose” our suitcases, it would have been more gentle if we had said: “Pull out your swimsuit, just waiting for your luggage you can swim.”

The third time was when he left the Emirates our luggage to Dubai. They had more time to transfer bags from one flight to another, then I imagine that the reason was that it was raining a hijacking. Until recently, the United Arab Emirates do not hardly ever rained. In this age of climate change seems to happen more often, and now I am used to the fact that in some places when it rains it does not work anything.

The luggage arrived in London the following day, and even if it was useless to call to ask where they were finished, the company had a section of its website dedicated to the lost luggage. The time that two years ago Alitalia lost my luggage on the flight to Palermo rather not talk.

Because no one has yet found a more logical for us to go through the X-ray machines and metal detectors?
Today there are many things that make travel less of a pleasant time, for example the fact that you feel guilty on the sole idea of taking an airplane. The security measures at airports are one of the things I hate more.

Many of these measures are useless: no longer would use a firearm to hijack a plane, the passengers suffered just skip them. Furthermore, the controls are not homogeneous: in an airport you must remove your shoes, in another you have to pull out of the bag the computer.

In the third you check your boarding pass before you cross the X-ray machine, then forgive in your pocket, you spend the jacket through the box and you ask where is your boarding pass. I happened to Los Angeles. Aboard sometimes receive plastic cutlery, and other times those of metal.

Because no one has yet found a more logical for us to go through the X-ray machines and metal detectors? In most airports you approach the car slowly and then, at the last minute, we need to open the bag in a hurry, pulling out keys, coins and phone, remove the jacket, shoes and belt. No one has ever thought of a conveyor belt that moves with us as we approach the metal detector. Finally there is the mania of the U.S. Sky Marshals (cops of the sky).

Already I do not like the idea that in America people can shoot with a weapon in his pocket for the road, appeared on an airplane. In the United States can not avoid using American airlines. But anywhere else in the world my policy is to not ever getting on an airplane for a U.S. company. I imagine that on aircraft of other companies are less likely to find someone with a gun

Sitting astride the Cumberland River in the northern part of central Tennessee, Nashville is located halfway between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico, right in the heart of the eastern United States. From the palace of the state government - the highest point of the city - a compact and busy stretch of one-way streets and tall office buildings extending towards east to Broadway, the central artery of Nashville. To the south-east of the palace of government, along the 2nd Ave and Broadway, the restoration of historical buildings has given rise to a tourist area called ‘the District’. Music Row, the other main commercial district, is located a kilometer and a half southwest of the center.

Among the new suburbs in the city’s expansion, it is difficult to identify with a particular character, except in a few cases. Elliston Place, the neighborhood of alternative culture, is located a kilometer and a half west of the center, north of West End Ave Immediately south is the campus of Vanderbilt University. East of Elliston Place, bordering the university, the Centennial Park is home to the Parthenon, who had pretended to show themselves at the Centennial Exposition of 1897. The whole area is known as West End, and its center consists of a variety of restaurants along Broadway and West End Ave on both sides of the university. It may happen that you hear mentioned the area as’ the vicinity of Vanderbilt ‘.

Many tourists do not even bring the foot in downtown Nashville and restrict their visit to the gigantic Opryland complex a few miles north-east of the city. Here, the prefabricated Music Valley has resulted in a neighborhood made up of tourist motel economic, franchise restaurants and shops of clothes at a low cost. The airport is located 13 kilometers east of the center. The Greyhound bus stop in the middle.

And why not? Self ‘World Capital of Country Music’, Nashville is the crucible in its charm a little ‘home. Banners and posters announcing the new star and its disc as some of the honors college yearbooks, and streets bear the names of country legends like Roy Acuff and Chet Atkins. The City of Music (as fans like to call it) has caught the attention of even some non-country singers - from Joan Baez to Jello Biafra - even if their comments were not always favorable. And yet, despite being a city that has based its reputation on a sound that is a trademark, it must be admitted that Nashville knows how to be attractive.

Nashville nebula that occupies the south-eastern region located between Central America and the East Coast, between the ‘deep south’ and the north. It is decidedly Southern in many respects, but is so close to other regions that the distinction is often blurred. In any case, whether the U.S. to move towards the south or the south is moving slowly to the rest of the country, Nashville appears more than ever an all-American cities (and this is one of the most blunt you ever opportunity visit).

But Nashville is a city had its beginnings as the North Carolina Land the village with an area of 640 morning as the westernmost territory established. The original city was founded by surveyor Thomas Malloy conceived, whose city just north of the Jo Johntson Street, south of Broadway, west of Ninth Avenue and east of the Cumberland River was framed.

Several important events in 1780 contributed to the founding of the city. On 1 May 1780 was the first government of middle Tennessee through Cumberland Compact known as a document establishing what one of over two hundred of the first settlers in the territory of agreement was signed. The pact provided for the punishment of crimes, the jurisprudence, the government and promoting the general welfare of the people.

Although conflicting theories and different interpretations of existing information available, it seems that from the Nashville country now occupied by the State of North Carolina was originally planned as a country for veterans of the American War of Independence to serve. At the time, this area as the Cumberland settlements known. One of 29 April 1782 request from the residents of the Cumberland River to the General Assembly of North Carolina suggests that the applicant at the time under the jurisdiction of North Carolina installations. This was known as French Lick area was uninhabited, had good water, was situated near a river and was an ideal location for a city. An advance made on the way to the country surveyed, did exactly that, planted corn for the subsequent settlers and sought by the application, their rights to the land which they intended to settle, determine.

Writer producer Alan Brennert (The Law of Los Angeles, Beyond the Reel) posted interesting comments on the Amazon description of the colors series Twilight Zone (The Fifth Dimension with us). And it explains why the picture is so mean on dvd. The entire post-production of the series was on video, so there is no negative mounted episodes and thus the only existing source for the future is a video, much more difficult to restore. The problem also arises with Star Trek: The Next Generation a post production experts were also on video. So it seems unlikely that this sort of day in HD. This would require that all
visual effects to be repeated as for Star Trek Classic. With 179 episodes on the clock, I wish good luck to the people of CBS / Paramount.

Here is the full Brennert About Alan:

“As one of the writer-producers who contributed to this series, I’m posting this to correct some misapprehension concerning the picture quality of this DVD set. This is NOT a “bad transfer.” 1985-87 The Twilight Zone was shot on film, but edited on video. In other words, the raw footage was 35mm film, which was then transferred to videotape. Editing, dubbing, special effects-everything was done on video. (We were in fact the first drama series on television to do this.) So unlike the original Rod Serling TZ, there are no original film negatives from which Image could strike new prints for transfer. All that exist are the old one-inch master tapes, and the unfortunate reality is, some videotape does deteriorate over time. Image has, in my opinion, done a superb job packaging our series, and it is to them that I award the five stars in this review! If not for
their interest in bringing this show to DVD, those one-inch masters might eventually have eroded into so much static (as my 3/4-inch tapes of the show already have). If you enjoyed this series, just be grateful it’s been preserved! “

Although Motion City Soundtrack has become such a huge success, they did it without much help from radio exposure or chart topping recognition. Their style is hard to pinpoint or commercialize because it ranges from pop to indie to acoustic, and almost every song uses a moog synthesizer.

The band has three full length albums, and through each CD you can hear the band maturing and exploring with new techniques and themes.

Motion City Soundtrack has a good way of lacing each of their songs with poignant lyrics which couldn’t be said in a more unique way.

The five piece band, originating from Minneapolis, Minn., is comprised of lead guitarist Joshua Cain, vocalist Justin Pierre, drummer Tony Thaxton, bassist Matt Taylor, and moog synthesizer Jesse Johnson.

Although I haven’t seen Motion City live, I hear they put on an exciting, upbeat show. The band recently played at Rocketown in Nashville.

If you like Motion City Soundtrack, you might also like Jack’s Mannequin and Boxcar Racer.

The younger of you know Robert Altman from the relatively recent films. “The Player” (The Player, 1992) is a satire of Hollywood, which highlighted the Tim Robbins. The parade of stars and the countless extraordinary views, and continued smoothly vertebrate “Highlights” (Short Cuts, 1993) and “Pret-a-Porter” (1994). The slightly larger, as anticipated in the early years of television (ERT and YENED) certainly saw after much anguish and fury, the “Battle” of sergeant Sonters, the Bonantza “or very tromachtiko” Alfred Hitchcock presents “extending as after midnight. The latest in business, “Kansas City” (1996), “The Gingerbread Man” (1998), “Cookie’s Fortune” (1999) and “Dr. T & the Women” (2000), not left the best impression. Returns, however severe, pidontas the window, with the British production of “Gosford Park” (2001), where leisure and reflection hand.

For the U.S. has always been very ‘profound’ several ‘artist’ to chrizetai the leading representative of the domestic ‘art cinema’. “What is kalt? That does not have enough supporters to be a minority”, commented a smile. Others consider the marginal and eikonoklasti a wildcat black stallion that kalpazei on the slopes of Hollywood. “I play violin in a corner and throw my coins. So I finish the film.” In Europe it is more distinguished, an unrepentant ironic, full of contradictions, bizarre and surprises. In this light, any Altman film, is a substantial event, and is at least worth viewing. For Hollywood says: “We are not adversaries. They sell shoes and I make gloves.” “Every time I see an American flag to fly, laughing.”

The Altman was born on 20 February 1925, in Kansas City. There followed a strict Catholic education while studying at a military academy in Lexington. In 1945 she served in aviation and as a second pilot in a B-24 bomber. After his dismissal, he wrote stories for magazines and radio scripts until recruited on behalf of Calvin Co. There he learned the movies, working in industrial documentaries, educational film and advertising. In 1955 he left the company and seized the opportunity television toudose the Hitchcock (Alfred Hitchcock Presents). The series of mystery and terror was an absolute success. For the next ten years, television will be the track champion tomorrow. Of the more than twenty television series or TV, it ’s name a few. “Maverick” (1957), “Peter Gunn” and “US Marshal” (1958), “Bonanza” (1959), “Bus Stop” (1961) and of course the “Battle” (Combat!, 1962).

The stubbornness and resistance to uniformity, delayed entry to the Mecca of American cinema. The afieromatiko dramatized documentary “The James Dean Story” (1957), had gone unnoticed. But the first post-TV business had the same fate (Countdown, 1968 and That Cold Day in the Park, 1969). The decisive moment was for him the anti-satire “M * A * S * H” (1970), which were both box and artistic success. The critics welcomed his talent and offered the Cannes of the Golden Phoenix. The main elements of his work are already here: episodic structure, black, sardonic humor, so far, the economy and absolute self-discipline, and the symbolic use of a microcosm (a mobile surgical unit in Korea) for the transport representation of a whole society in crisis.

The success of “M * A * S * H” will lead to the creation of his own production company, the Lion’s Gate, equipped with the latest audio-processing systems and editing. The production process in the studio Lion’s Gate is described as a ‘controlled chaos’. It took five years to go until the next success. Meanwhile, the unique narrative of the script, tried to revise several film types: the comedy (Brewster McCloud, 1970, and California Split, 1974), the police / nouar (The Long Goodbye, 1973 and Thieves Like us, 1974), the drama (Images, 1972) and westerns (McCabe and Mrs. Miller, 1971).

The “Nashville” (1975), the Altman composes a mosaic idiofyes a platter with words-nologies appetizers, 24 different characters involved in local political campaign, under the sounds of kantri. The film wins five nominations but only one Oscar for the song “I’m Easy” in Kith Karantain. The Elliott Gould is his favorite director, but here after participating in three other films (M * A * S * H, The Long Goodbye, California Split). Then the undervalued - or in other boring - “Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull’s History Lesson” (1976). Then the sleeping pill, unconventional and exciting “3 Women” (1977), where the shining Sisy Speisek and interpretation takes prize at the Cannes Ntival saddles. Even mention the comedy “HEALTH” (1979), and completely failed “Popeye” (1980), only for Robin Williams.

The cap is the withdrawal from the “Ragtime” (1981), because the producer Dino De Laurentiis, the final editing. The position taken by the Milos Forman. In 1981, disappointed and sad, sell the company and turned to the theater. The return to classrooms will be eight years later, the incident at the modular “Aria” (1988), and the portrait of Van Gogh afon, “Vincent & Theo” (1990). The latter enjoys a successful and highly regarded by art lovers. Then comes “The Player”, a collage of people and situations, a light parody of Hollywood. Where impressed us with black humor and raciness, but with the comfort and handling a very rich staff.

The equally enjoyable “Highlights” (Short Cuts, 1993), comes as a natural continuation of “Nashville”, a psychografia life in Southern California. These nine stories, inspired by similar romance of Raymond Carver, which interrelate and enter or touching each other. The same pattern will move in “Pret-a-Porte” (1994) a tour in the world of fashion, with tragelafika comments on the ephemeral and intrigkes area. In this mixed game and real modistroi, but rather many actors. All travel at speeds demonstration models and actors in pasareles world of good. There are references to great moments of cinema-past, as the romantic comedy (my nice lady), Jacques Tati syndrome or “but Italian Wedding” duet with Marcello Mastrogiani - Sophia Loren.

The reason of this article is of course the “Gosford Park” (2001). Having always hidden aces in the sleeve, The Altman traveled to England, found producers, and decided to hit with his glance poniri British coquetry and mimicry of the carryings discourteous’ noble ‘(with transatlantic shots, again against Hollywood) . We are in 1932. A Jew producer, slightly gay, is a British guest pyrgodespoti, aiming at a true copy of the environment and transposes into comical episode, titled “Charlie Chan in London”. The Altman manages to present a smart all the background to Wander several film genres (comedy, drama, police, film era, social, musicals), have fun, to fascinate, to emotions, to sow anxiety, to frighten, to kataplixei.

The film is artistically original (reminiscent of several productions Aivori-Mertsant-Tzampvala), but has many contradictions and reversals of the rules of storytelling structure top-middle-end, the plot and the Protocol. First ceaselessly bombarding us with new people (over 40), which we see fleeting, and requires our full attention in order to fill gaps related or other links between them. Secondly, putting large and important actors in roles to kontarochtypiountai servants (Alan Bates, Helen Mirren, Derek Jacobi, Emily Watson, Richard E. Grant, Clive Owen, etc.) and leaves too lax noble some important soloists among them (Michael Gambon, Kristin Scott Thomas, Maggie Smith, Charles Dance), and three wild ‘American’ (Jeremy Northam, Bob Balaban and Ryan Phillippe).

Thirdly and diaskedastikoteron, divides the world into more (deep dukes and countess) and down (and amounting alive, pantognostes servants). The above world shows signs of rot, forfeiture, infighting, corruption and moral Advanced deduction. The below hand, vibrate its vigor, vitality, passion desires, thirst for life, for love, dance, song and strong peripaichtiki available on the above faux pas of the kind, slip and sins. Another interesting feature is a realistic line that agetai by two real people, the actor Aivor Novelo (Jeremy Northam), Garbo partner and leader of the “occupier” (The Lodger, 1926) of Hitchcock, and producer Morris Gouaisman ( Bob Balaban) who represents the style ‘producer ferret’ and the legend of Charlie Chan.

In this recipe palavi add little Agkatha Christy (10 small turkeys), a little Sherlock Holmes (the delectable Stephen Fry in the role of inspector gkafatzi Tomson, who constantly pipilaei the pipe), the astonishing and brilliant Kelly MacDonald (the maid of Maggie Smith ) undermines everything as female Hercules Pouaro, and a passage of aoidou Neither Lemper, and have a great movie that deserves the full seven nominations for Oscar (best film, direction, original script, artistic direction, costumes). Two of them in the same category: the Maggie Smith and Helen Miren claim the statuette of the second female role. But I do not need to wait for the verdict of eklektoron. Invest fear the pleasure you give the viewing of the film.

Pottery can be divided into two groups: neglazirovannaya and glazed ceramics. The first group consists of terracotta pottery and ceramics - the most ancient of all types of ceramics. Terracotta - in Italian «baked earth». It is not a political glaze baked clay. Previously, from making sculptures, beads, reliefs. In our time, this type of ceramics is used infrequently.
pottery supply ceramics which requires additional processing. To make it waterproof it atone before roasting any smooth a ( «loschat»), sealed outer layer of clay before the emergence of a shine. «Moraine» is a long excerpt of clay products in the smoke slowly cools down the furnace. It is an ancient method of treatment - «zaparka», or «obvarka»: the product removed from the furnace down in the water with the flour. In doing so, on its surface formed beautiful podpaliny, glassware becomes waterproof. Currently, pottery ceramics has been very widespread. It makes pots, cups, jugs and other household items. And they are valued as much as porcelain, glass.
The second group includes glazed (or irrigation) ceramics. It covers a layer of dry glazes, enamel, and secondarily burnt. Glazing products made watertight and allow them to decorate a potter: matt, velvety surface alternates with the influx of shiny glaze. A glaze is well looked angob painting - painted in different colors slurry. Angobirovanie - an ancient type of processing clay surfaces, but so far, is widely used.
An immediate relative of a majolica earthenware pottery. This word comes from the name of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, where this type of pottery originated. Called majolica items of pottery clay, covered with colored glazes - enamels.
Faience. The basis of it - white clay. Ceramic jug of majolica is easy to distinguish, it is only to draw attention to the bottom: the pottery stoneware tabs on it - dark, and the faience - white. What distinguishes majolica earthenware from the Near him with porcelain, but no white earthenware and porcelain opacity, its crock porous and less durable. Earthenware products are thick, opaque wall of the soft, streamlined shapes. Especially nice when through the transparent green, purple or brown glaze translucent cream crock.
In Russia, faience production reached a high development in the XVIII century. Talented and original folk masters Gzhel and other centers of ceramic crafts took pride of place in the history of Russian decorative and applied arts.
Homeland porcelain is China. With its high strength, the absolute whiteness smithereens, rich colors, chemical resistance, it significantly exceeded the entire European ceramics. To create a porcelain requires very high temperature on zhiga - up to 1400 ° C and the composition of the complex mass of air dry clays, including kaolin, feldspar sand and other additives. Porcelain valued dearly and ceramics European countries fought over the rede so-called «Chinese secret», but all their attempts to finished result. And in 1709 Gore in Meysene (Saxony) received solid, translucent, perfectly white porcelain crock. By the end of XVIII century, the manufacture of porcelain was developed in the entire European continent. In Russia, china invented another MV Lomonosov Moscow State University scientist chemist DI Vinogradov.
During the search for the secret of porcelain manufacture in many countries have established their variety of porcelain stoneware: Germany - the red mass of fire, in England - rock mass, called «vedzhvudsky Porcelain» (on behalf of the inventor and owner of the plant D. Wedgwood), France — soft frittovy porcelain.
The next and final appearance of ceramics - chamotte. It is a ceramic battle involved in the clay. Chamotte is grubozernisty composition, glaze on the surface spreads stained and not covering it completely, which gives the product of chamotte particular originality. It is very appreciated by artists who have entered it in the field of arts and crafts.
